968 Park Hotel

968 Park Hotel needed some simple updates done to their website, so the in-house staff could post new promotional content whenever they needed. After having a meeting with the client, we agreed on two major updates that would help their hotel promotions get more views and clicks, while being easy and quick to update.

One of the enhancements to the site was a “popup ad box” on the homepage, which would overlap the existing flash slideshow. With some DHTML and Javascript code, I was able to create a “box” (separate page) on it’s own layer, that slides down from the top of the screen and stops on the slideshow. This “popup box” is easily updated by the client and allows them to change out promotions at their convenience.

The other addition was incorporating a WordPress blog to the site and displaying the posts on the homepage, via RSS feed. This allows the client to display stories, testimonials or whatever blog content they would like to feature, right on the homepage.
