I’ve just created some flash banner ads for Mammoth Lakes Department of Tourism.
There were two sets of ads — one for a Lodging Package deal, and another set for Generic Deals.
I was under a tight deadline to get the ads done within a few days. Using artwork provided by Mammoth Lakes, I chose a few photos that would present the text well, without being too “busy.” Using Actionscript, I applied varying text effects such as blurring, fading and drop shadows, so the ad feels more dynamic than an average static .JPG or animated .GIF.
I made sure to use colors from the Mammoth Lakes logo, to help with brand recognition. I also made sure to use a very readable font.
